Markus has extensive training in Sensory Integration (SI), Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) and DIR/Floortime. He completed the 8-week pediatric NDT certification course in 2004 in addition to a wealth of other therapeutic handling courses. He has received NDT training from the late Reggie Boehme, Lois Bly, Gail Ritchie, and Rona Alexander, including more specific instruction in the treatment of the infant. Markus has also studied and received significant training in Sensory Integration as well as the DIR/Floortime methodology. His approach to treatment draws from the fundamentals of these three models in a comprehensive style that addresses the whole child. Markus continues to be fueled by his creativity and desire to learn and mentor.
Markus recently maintained a position of Clinical Coordinator for two years at a large special needs preschool program in Brooklyn. He oversaw the treatment of more than 125 children and 30 occupational and physical therapist, speech-language pathologists, and school psychologists.
